Designed to let you earn competitive rates on your liquid cash assets like a money market fund, this account also offers added security of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and the convenience of quick local access. Since there is no out-of-town transit or mail delay, your deposits are posted to your account sooner and you start earning interest more quickly.
Certificate of Deposit
A great way to put your money to work for you, a Certificate of Deposit offers a very competitive rate for excess funds. The deposit is made for a specified period of time ranging from seven days up to five years at an established interest rate.* There are no fees on CDs, but a penalty may be charged for early withdrawal.
